  • Training for Entrepreneurs: Providing business development and commercialisation training to 250 entrepreneurs, equipping them with skills to accelerate their ventures.
  • Establishment of Innovation-Oriented Enterprises: Supporting the creation of 10 new enterprises focused on innovation and technology.
  • Access to Resources and Mentors: Facilitating connections between entrepreneurs and mentors to enhance entrepreneurial capacity.
  • Funding Opportunities: Connecting entrepreneurs and SMEs with national and international angel investment funds to advance their business ideas.
  • Global Exposure: Organising a study visit to the European Union for networking, learning best practices, and accessing global opportunities.

Patent Supports

  • Patent Training and Awareness: Increasing awareness of patents and enhancing the evaluation and follow-up of inventions.
  • Support for Obtaining Patents: Assisting entrepreneurs in securing national and international patents for their technology-oriented ideas.
  • Commercialisation of Patents: Accelerating the market readiness of high-potential patents through a funnel model, ensuring only the most qualified ideas are commercialised.
  • Patent Showcase: Preparing activities such as patent fairs to increase visibility and attract potential investors.

AI-Based Network

  • Smart Software Infrastructure: Leveraging AI-powered tools to identify and highlight entrepreneurs, business ideas, and patents with high commercialisation potential.
  • SMARTNET Platform: A digital portal connecting 1,450 entrepreneurs, 169 mentors, and nearly 30 investors to collaborate, match, and support each other.
  • Enhanced Collaboration: Establishing a network of Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) to foster partnerships, optimise resources, and strengthen their institutional capacity.
  • Tailored Matches: AI-driven matchmaking between entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors to ensure optimal support for innovation and commercialisation.
  • Global Reach: Providing entrepreneurs with connections beyond Türkiye, such as accessing the Silicon Valley ecosystem and European markets.

Technical Assistance for “A Smart Network for Technology Transfer and Commercialisation with Funnel Model (SMARTNET)” is a project co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye.  The Contracting Authority of the project is the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Directorate General for European Union and Foreign Affairs and the End Recipient of the Assistance is Yıldız Technical University.  The main stakeholders and partners of the project are İstanbul Technical University, Gebze Technical University and Hasan Kalyoncu University.
